We are officially 7 weeks out from the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, and I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to feel the heat! Before I hit you with some great Round 3 outfit inspo, I wanted to share some of my favorite things to do while in Vegas for the NFR!
Of course, attend the rodeo! With 10 nights of action, each round brings a fresh performance, giving each competitor the chance at a check! Personally, attending rodeos is my favorite past time, so I try to get tickets to as many perfs as I can. Now keep in mind, that prices for tickets can increase the closer you get to Round 10, so I would shop early. Depending on your connections, you can get decent tickets for about $100 each (though they do offer “balcony” seats for $67.. not sure if this is a standing room only situation). Many people have asked where to buy tickets, and based on my research for a typical rodeo fan, the best option right now is www.UNLVtickets.com but of course there are many other ticket-buying options out there.
Cowboy Christmas shopping is my go-to for daytime activities while in Vegas. There are roughly 4-5 different shopping locations with thousands of booths to shop from! Bring your savings account, because you WILL want to buy everything!
Some more touristy destinations while in Vegas include my personal favorites: The Neon Boneyard Museum & the Conservatory & Botanical garden in the Bellagio.
The Neon Boneyard Museum: You’ve probably seen pictures of this on Pinterest or in Florida Georgia Line’s latest music video “Smooth.” You have to pre-book a tour through the “boneyard” of old neon Vegas signs. They offer daytime and nighttime tours. I went during the daytime and it was awesome! They have a few signs that they light-up for the nighttime tours, so that is next on my list to see. These sell out fast, so book in advance!
Conservatory & Botanical Garden: This is a FREE thing to do, and it really is breathtaking! On the ground level in the Bellagio, they compile a complete showcase constructed entirely of trees, flowers, and plants into beautiful works of art! The showcase changes with the season, so you never know what you will see! You get to walk through the area and see all the florally-constructed animals up close. It really is a sight to see!
I know this isn’t much of a “thing to do” but I love the buffets in Vegas! There are so many good ones, and I like to go for a breakfast-brunch-lunch time to make sure you get your fill on all the goodies. And if you’re over 21, it’s worth it to take advantage of the Bottomless Adult Beverage option, as they will also top you off with a to-go cup!
What else do yall like to do while in Vegas? Leave a comment to share your favorite spots!
